5 year old Troy is wondering what has happened he was bought as a puppy and lived out in a kennel with the other dogs around, he was sold to a new family and a month later found himself in rescue.
With the help of our superb kennels he has settled and his lovely cheeky character is beginning to shine.
Due to ill health the current owners could no longer keep him and did the right thing by Troy and allowing a rescue to help rather than just selling him on to another family. So far nothing has phased him and he is moving into foster so he can be assessed further.
Our assessor told us Troy greeted him calmly and warmly and yes so far everyone he has met he greets them as though he has known them all his life.
You fuss Troy and he will often reward you with some gentle kisses.
Troy does jump up but does not put any weight behind this. When out walking with our assessor Troy was fine with the dogs and people he met.
Troy does have a chase reaction if he sees something when out.
He may not be used to noisier vehicles as he was frightened as a bus went by.
Troy travelled very well in the car and was very quiet. So far has been good on the lead.
Troy is microchipped but everything else has lapsed. Troy will chase cats if they run but tends to back off if a cat stands their ground to him.
Troy likes to play ball and it will often take a little while before he will drop it for you to throw again.
