Dob: 20/07/15. Spayed, chipped, vaccinated, flead & wormed.
Honey came to CGSR in December in a dreadful condition. Severely matted & emaciated. Extremely fearful and showing nervous aggression. She would flee if possible but if cornered would charge trying to intimidate. She had to be sedated at vets to be shaved & her ears cleaned, she is now muzzle trained for vet visits.
The volunteers & kennel staff have worked wonders with Honey, it's still a work in progress, but her confidence is improving. She is comfortable with people she knows but it takes time to gain her trust. She is no longer head shy or hides behind her bed.
Honey will not be placed in a home with children. She can live with another dog but no cats.
We have no idea if Honey has ever lived in a home, but she travels well & now enjoys being groomed. She walks nicely on the lead & loves to play.
Ideally we are looking for a very experienced home/foster that will allow Honey time & patience to learn without fear.
Potential adopters / fosters must have several meets with Honey prior to her leaving us.
Please feel free to fill out our Adoption Form if you would like to register an interest in any of our dogs or donate via PayPay to help towards their upkeep.
