Our gentle giant Pepe is a Central Asian Ovtcharka (Central Asian Shepherd)
He is super friendly with people, very tolerant with other large dogs but doesn't understand why smaller dogs take one look and run. We are trying to un-train the giving of paw as he can give you a black eye and stop the jumping up.
Pepe will only be homed with people that have proven experience with large breed. No children under 14 and no cats.
He is extremely strong on the lead and we are working on basic commands, he would benefit from ongoing training & socialisation classes. He will require a good sized garden as the breed are used to being mobile over large areas, plus daily socialisation and environmental walks. Pepe is very content spending most of his day in the outside kennel and his adopters need to be mindful that he may not do well in centrally heated homes.
Pepe is still very much a puppy, and at 56kg he still has a lot of growing to do.
CGSR will require several meets with potential adopters to ensure that all Pepe's needs will be met, both now and as he grows up.

As a reputable rescue our volunteers strive to ensure that everything is done to the highest standard and in the strictest confidentiality to make sure that every dog in our care gets a loving home.
