Bruce - currently looking for adoption with Central German Shepherd Rescue

Bruce

Bruce came back to us, due to his adopter suffering a severe illness. CGSR provides full RBU for all our dogs.

Bruce adopted 28/08/20

Bruce moved into foster with a view to adopt. As his info post states, Bruce needs time to settle and bond. We have no idea how he will cope in a home environment so fostering it the perfect option.

Update 11/06/20

The ideal home for Bruce will need a horse size paddling pool, he absolutely loves the water. His confidence is growing and his lead walking is improving.

18months, castrated, chipped, vaccinated, flead, wormed & the size of a horse.

Bruce is nervous & hand shy on first meet but when he gets to know you he has no understanding of personal space.

He shouts loudly for attention but fast movements have him running backwards.

He has to be walked on a dogmatic as distractions are just too much for him & investigation of everything is needed. He does settle on lead until something more interesting comes along.

Bruce has also come into CGSR from another rehoming centre & his best buddy is Tilly. He does prefer bitches to dogs. No cats. No small furries.

No young children due to his concerns over fast movements. He shows no aggression, he just doesn’t cope.

His new owner will have to be firm, consistent and instil boundaries from day 1.

Trust is a major issue for Bruce as he has been rehomed several times from the previous rescue and returned. He has never been given the chance to settle.

CGSR will be placing him in a foster with a view to adopt. We are going to give him the time & space to settle & we have no time restraints on the foster period. He’s a young lad and he has lots of learning to do, mainly about people.

Please register for adoption or foster or you could miss out on the dog suitable for your home

Please feel free to fill out our Adoption Form if you would like to register an interest in any of our dogs or donate via PayPay to help towards their upkeep.
