Saxon - adopted October 2015

Central German Shepherd Rescue introduce Saxon, a young German Shepherd who has not had the best start. Given the right owner and training he will make a wonderful pet.

A big welcome to Saxon.

Born Feb '14, he is castrated, vaccinated, flead, wormed & microchipped. He has previously had his inverted eyelids operated on. He may need another operation in the future.

Saxon has come into rescue as he was being left extremely long periods, confined to a small space and became destructive. His housetraining will need restarting, but he is clean in kennels for short periods.

He has previously lived with dogs and cats, but will chase the cats if they run.

Saxon can be reactive to other dogs, but usually only if they react first, so careful introductions will need to be made.

He walks well on a head collar, but does need further training. He greets people very enthusiastically.

Saxon would definitely benefit from learning some basic manners, but he has had some initial training.

As Saxon is quite bouncy we would only place with older children.

Please feel free to fill out our Adoption Form if you would like to register an interest in any of our dogs or donate via PayPay to help towards their upkeep.
