Central German Shepherd Rescue (CGSR)

News

In the past few months CGSR have been working very closely with CEFNI German Shepherd Rescue who have now unfortunately had to close down. We took in 4 of their dogs before Christmas, and have now agreed to take Cyrus on as a home from home, and Susie who is currently in a foster home.

We have also agreed to give full rescue back up (RBU) for ALL CEFNI dogs - it will be hard work, but it is "what we do"….help GSD's in need whenever and wherever we can, and without cherry-picking.

CGSR stepped in to help when other GSD rescues wouldn't as many were not prepared to give full RBU, which CEFNI provided and they obviously wanted consistency and peace of mind for their dogs and adopters.

All of our volunteers give their time and energy free, and all have other commitments of daily life outside of rescue.

For this reason we are looking for more volunteers and helpers, no matter how small or insignificant it may feel to you, every minute/£1 given by one person takes pressure off the rest of us.

If you feel you could help in any way please complete one of the volunteer forms or donate via the button below......

Each and every one of our dogs is checked by a vet, is assessed and micro chipped.

As a reputable rescue our volunteers strive to ensure that everything is done to the highest standard and in the strictest confidentiality to make sure that every dog in our care gets a loving home.

Without doubt adoption is the best thing that can happen to a dog in kennels, any dog, once your homecheck has successfully passed, you could soon have your new best friend staying with you and your family.

Helping Hands

From time to time there are situations whereby people are taken into care for operations etc, this requires there loved pets to require foster homes for a period of time.

Sometimes we are unable to offer foster homes for various reasons such as being full but we are prepared to share their plight in the hope that others will be able to help provide short term or longer fostering.
